About the Role

Based in BYD\'s Mulgrave Office, this role will support our Vehicle Planning & Logistics team, reporting to Vehicle Planning & Logistics Manager. On offer is Vehicle Logistics Specialist position and your day-to-day duties will include but not be limited to:

Vehicle Tracking & Logistics Coordination
  • Collaborate with the Vehicle Planning Specialist to verify the accuracy of all purchase orders submitted to HQ.
  • Liaise with the HQ Asia-Pacific delivery team to ensure vehicle production aligns with scheduled timelines.
  • Coordinate timely shipment bookings and align dispatch plans with monthly delivery targets; communicate updates to the Regional Distribution Centre (RDC), freight forwarders, and dealerships.
  • Monitor inbound, in-warehouse, outbound, and Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) processes in collaboration with the RDC team and third-party logistics (3PL) providers; promptly address and follow up on any operational irregularities.
  • Support routine and ad hoc stocktaking activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate dealer order fulfilment in coordination with RDC, 3PL partners, and freight forwarders.
  • Assist with the claims process by ensuring proper documentation and adherence in collaboration with the RDC team.
  • Organize and lead regular coordination meetings with key stakeholders to align logistics operations with internal business needs.
  • Work with internal teams and external system providers to ensure logistics tracking systems are optimized and functioning effectively.
Problem Solving
  • Support the Logistics Manager in resolving logistics-related challenges such as shipping delays, inventory discrepancies, and transportation issues to maintain operational continuity.
Reporting
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on vehicle status, claims, and other logistics-related metrics.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting as required to support business decisions.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in logistics or supply chain coordination, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multicultural teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with logistics or ERP systems is a plus.
  • English and Mandarin is required.
