Job summary

Bill Robertson Toyota in Gladstone is seeking a Detailer to ensure new vehicles from Toyota and Geely are detailed to a high standard and to keep the yard clean and safe. You will detail vehicles, maintain equipment, and support quick turnarounds while driving vehicles for test rides when needed.

The role requires a valid Queensland driver’s licence, and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team in a busy dealership environment.

Responsibilities

• Detail New Vehicles (multi-brands – Toyota and Geely) to a high-quality standard.
• Maintain equipment and stocks of required consumables.
• Ensure vehicles are turned around quickly and efficiently.
• Perform vehicle driving duties including collection of vehicles and RT A tests.
• Assist in collecting required parts for the dealership.
• Raise any health, safety or environmental concerns to management.

Job description

The main purpose of the Detailer is to ensure that new vehicles, both from Toyota and Geely brands are detailed to a high quality standard and to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the yard.

Key responsibilities

Detail New Vehicles (multi-brands – Toyota and Geely) to a high-quality standard

Maintain equipment and stocks of required consumables

Ensure that all vehicles are turned around in a quick and efficient manner

Perform vehicle driving duties including the collection of vehicles and taking vehicles for RTA tests

As directed, assist in the collection of required parts for the dealership

Take immediate action and bring to the notice of a member of the management team any incident likely to cause a breach of the Health Safety or Environmental policy or regulations

Ensure Company Vehicle Service policies and procedures are actively followed and maintained at all times

As directed, perform tasks in the general upkeep and cleanliness of the premises

Ensure your work area is tidy and a safe working space at all times

About you

Current and valid Qld driver's licence

Experience in detailing, buffing and polishing

Quality focused, conscientious and take a great deal of pride in their work

Ability to identify problems as they arise and offer effective solutions, seek assistance when required

Good organisational skills

Able to work autonomously, but also a team player

Good standard of numeracy and literacy

Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills

Ability to contribute to building a positive team spirit
