Job summary

SMART is hiring skilled Automotive/ Vehicle Assemblers for the Melbourne team. Positions are full-time with Monday to Friday hours and guaranteed overtime (38 + 7) with weekends off.

Work in a modern, well-equipped workshop and be part of a national repair network offering clear career pathways and ongoing training. You'll reassemble vehicles, test for safety, perform ad hoc workshop duties, and ensure cleanliness per procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the automotive repair industry in a similar technician or mechanic role.
• Strong commitment to work in a safe manner.
• Dedicated to quality repairs and customer service.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Reassemble vehicles in accordance with documented procedures and processes.
• Test and evaluate reassembly for safety and operability.
• Any ad hoc duties throughout the workshop as directed by leadership.
• Ensuring the vehicle is cleaned in accordance with documented processes and procedures.

We are looking for skilled Automotive/ Vehicle Assemblers to complete our SMART Melbourne team.

Locations available:

• SMART Sunshine North
• SMART Airport West

Join our teams. Monday to Friday with guaranteed overtime (38 + 7). No weekends!

You will work alongside our technicians and assist in the stripping of cars and refitting their panels and door trims. If you are a skilled mechanic or have previous automotive skills, this may be for you.

What You'll Do:

• Reassemble vehicles in accordance with documented procedures and processes.
• Test and evaluate reassembly for safety and operability.
• Any ad hoc duties throughout the workshop as directed by leadership.
• Ensuring the vehicle is cleaned in accordance with documented processes and procedures.
