Job summary

ANZUK Education at Al-Taqwa College seeks an experienced VCE Vocational Major Coordinator to lead the program, align with VCAA and drive pathways that connect education to employment. You will collaborate with senior leaders, teachers, careers staff and external partners to deliver a high-quality applied learning journey.

The role requires a proactive leader with strong curriculum, SWL, VET/SBAT coordination and continuous improvement focus to support student outcomes and transitions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of VM/VCAL framework and VCAA compliance requirements.
• Experience leading curriculum and program development.
• Experience coordinating SWL, VET, SBAT or similar pathways.
• Strong understanding of VCAA compliance, assessment and reporting.
• Ability to lead, mentor and develop teaching teams.
• Excellent organisational and administrative capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commitment to inclusive education and diverse student pathways.
• Ability to drive innovation in applied learning programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic development and day-to-day operation of the VCE Vocational Major program.
• Provide curriculum leadership across Literacy, Numeracy, Work Related Skills and PD skills.
• Ensure compliance with VCAA requirements, assessment standards, and reporting.
• Coordinate Structured Workplace Learning programs and industry partnerships.
• Support VET and SBAT pathways and monitor progress.
• Lead curriculum review, moderation and improvement initiatives.
• Monitor student engagement, attendance and outcomes.
• Build relations with employers, TAFEs, RTOs and community organisations.
• Support student transitions into further education and employment.
• Lead and mentor teaching staff involved in the program.
• Contribute to whole-school curriculum planning and improvement.
• Promote vocational and applied learning pathways within the College.
