Job summary

Belmont High School in Geelong is seeking a VCE Specialist Math/Math Methods Teacher to deliver high-quality mathematics instruction and support student growth in VCE outcomes.

The successful candidate will plan, assess and report on learning, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a positive school culture aligned with Department values. Victorian Institute of Teaching registration is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to integrate literacy and numeracy where appropriate.
• Plan for and implement high impact teaching strategies and evaluate their impact on student growth.
• Monitor and assess student learning and use data to inform practice and provide feedback to students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs.
• Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as directed.
• Engage with parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties as required.
