Job summary

Veris is seeking a skilled Utility Locator to detect and map underground utilities, ensuring safety and accuracy for client projects. The role involves field-based location activities, data recording, and collaboration with Veris locators and surveyors across varying sites.

The ideal candidate will have qualifications in utility mapping or surveying, experience with GPR/SONDE and related tools, and the ability to work independently or within a team while interpreting owner plans and maintaining

Qualifications

• Qualification in utility mapping or surveying.
• Experience with subsurface utility detection using GPR, SONDE, and locating tools.
• Ability to work independently and with Veris field teams.
• Knowledge of AS 5488-2022 classifications of subsurface utility information.
• Experience leading field teams.
• Ability to read and interpret utility owner plans and diagrams.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to think strategically to grow services and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Detect and map underground utilities to ensure project safety and accuracy.
• Conduct field utility location activities and record subsurface data.
• Manage data collection and liaison with project stakeholders.
• Potential regional or interstate travel on short assignments.
