Job summary

Laing O’Rourke is seeking a Project Manager - Utilities for Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast to lead complex utility projects with a privately-owned, global construction leader.

You will drive planning, stakeholder engagement, risk management and delivery across regions, ensuring safety, quality and on-time handover. A strong leadership style and relevant degree are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of utility relocations, service installations, commissioning and network interfaces.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with utility providers and stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, commercial acumen and problem-solving in complex project environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of utility works, ensuring safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives.
• Manage utility authorities, asset owners, contractors and project stakeholders throughout delivery.
• Oversee relocations, installations, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Manage project budgets, contracts, risks and subcontractors to drive outcomes.
• Lead and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
