Job summary

ForHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Urgent Care team in the Gladstone region. You will provide high‑quality nursing support, conduct triage, identify deterioration and work with Urgent Care Medical Practitioners to deliver excellent patient care.

Applicants must hold AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and have at least 3 years of emergency/triage or rural/remote nursing experience, with strong clinical assessment and communication skills. Evening and weekend work available.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Emergency, triage, ICU/CCU or rural/remote nursing.
• Strong clinical assessment and escalation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact and conduct accurate nursing triage.
• Assess patients, prioritise care and identify emergencies or deterioration.
• Deliver hands‑on clinical care including wound care, suturing, plastering and assisting with procedures.
• Provide compassionate, patient‑centred care in collaboration with patients, families and medical practitioners.
• Support patients with health education and achieving positive clinical outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Contribute to workplace health, safety and quality initiatives.
• Adapt confidently to a fast‑paced and changing Urgent Care environment.

About You
