The City of Sydney is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic planner to join our Planning Assessments Team. The team advises the public, applicants and landowners on development applications, ranging from small alterations to major residential and commercial proposals.

You will be responsible for the efficient and effective assessment of development-related applications to ensure proposals meet statutory requirements and City of Sydney policies and objectives.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning, Architecture or Urban Design are required.
• Experience in assessment and resolution of planning, heritage and urban design issues is preferred.
• Knowledge of local government processes is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Assess development applications to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and council policies.
• Advise applicants, landowners and the public on development proposals.
