Job summary

North Sydney Council's Trees team is seeking a dedicated arborist/trees maintenance officer to help maintain and enhance the urban forest of North Sydney. Working under the Team Leader and Urban Forest Supervisor, you will participate in scheduled and reactive tree maintenance, operate equipment, and perform essential arboricultural tasks to keep our green spaces safe and vibrant.

We value safety, teamwork and continuous learning, with on-the-job training and opportunities for upskilling.

Qualifications

• Workcover General Induction Card (White card) for construction work.
• Willingness to learn the safe use of chainsaws.
• Positive attitude towards teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the urban forest and green spaces in North Sydney.
• Engage in scheduled and reactive tree maintenance programs under supervision.
• Operate equipment and perform essential arboricultural tasks.
• Contribute to safety, quality and timely service delivery.
