Job summary

Epsilon Tech in NSW is seeking an experienced Upgrades Security Technician to upgrade, service, troubleshoot and maintain electronic security systems across sites in Greater Sydney and surrounding areas, with occasional travel across NSW.

You will install and commission CCTV, access control and intercom solutions, diagnose faults, liaise with clients, and ensure compliance with regulations while contributing to the growth of our national business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electronic Security Systems Technician.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control and intercom systems.
• Hands-on experience with URMET, DNAKE, iPassan (FDI) and Integriti systems.
• Current NSW Security Licence.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
• White Card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade, troubleshoot, install and commission electronic security systems on existing sites.
• Diagnose faults and provide upgrade solutions for existing and legacy systems.
• Liaise directly with clients, building managers and site contacts to understand their requirements and provide professional advice.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant regulations and industry best practice.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and provide clear reporting to management.
• Support the wider service and upgrades team with project coordination, problem-solving and knowledge sharing.

What your role looks like:

• Upgrade, troubleshoot, install and commission a variety of electronic security systems on existing sites, including CCTV, access control and intercom solutions

• Diagnose faults and provide practical upgrade solutions for existing and legacy systems

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as an Electronic Security Systems Technician

• Strong technical knowledge of CCTV, access control and intercom systems

• Knowledge and hands‑on experience with URMET, DNAKE, iPassan (FDI) and Integriti systems is highly regarded / preferred

• Experience working with existing and legacy security systems and completing system upgrades

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a wider technical team

• Current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites

• White Card preferred

• A current and valid NSW Security Licence

• Full working rights in Australia
