Job summary

Ron Allum Deepsea Services Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our small production and engineering team. This hands-on role covers assembly, testing and quality control of mechanical and electronic products, reporting to the Production Supervisor.

You will read technical drawings, follow specifications, document testing results and work closely with engineering on new designs while maintaining safe, tidy work areas and a collaborative, solution‑driven culture.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production role with emphasis on assembly and testing.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and specs.
• Experience with PCB assemblies and electronics testing.
• Familiar with IPC soldering standards and ESD/EOS protocols.
• Trade qualification in electronics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test mechanical and electronic products.
• Follow assembly drawings and technical specifications.
• Perform functional testing and quality checks.
• Maintain production records of testing activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engineering.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment.
• Kitting components for external assembly.
