Job summary

Catalyst Metals Ltd is seeking a Mining Supervisor for our underground operations in Western Australia. Reporting to the Mine Foreman, you will lead crews of up to 20, ensure safety, and drive production targets across multiple ore bodies and mining environments.

This role offers long-term security, opportunities to mentor and develop teams, and a clear path for leadership progression within Catalyst's expanding underground portfolio.

Qualifications

• WA Underground Supervisor's Certificate of Competency (Section 26) required.
• Knowledge of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations.
• Current C Class Western Australian Driver's Licence.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities across all levels.
• Current DGSC (Dangerous Goods Safety Card).
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
• Previous remnant underground mining experience preferred.
• Significant underground mining leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Set and uphold a high standard of work with strong safety leadership.
• Promote, uphold and maintain a strong safety culture across all Underground Activities and workgroups.
• Lead and co-ordinate crew of up to 20 people to safely achieve production targets.
• Fulfil responsibilities as the Statutory Appointed Underground Shift Supervisor per legislative requirements.
• Ensure compliance with mining plans, site procedures and legislative requirements.
• Support, mentor and develop underground operators and team members.
• Collaborate with Technical Services to identify and seek improvements in mining methods.
• Work with Technical Services, Maintenance and other stakeholders.
• Drive accountability, performance and continuous improvement within the team.
• Demonstrate visible safety leadership and proactive risk management.

Reporting to the Mine Foreman, this is an opportunity to be involved and help drive improvements to our owner-operator Mines. We take pride in the ground we work in – competent rock, a strong safety culture and a modern Sandvik fleet that sets you up for success. As we grow across the belt, our satellite operations are creating opportunities for exposure to different ore bodies and mining environments, including upcoming narrow vein and paste-fill operations. This provides variety in your day-to-day work and the chance to broaden your underground capability across multiple styles of mining. As a Mining Supervisor, you'll play a key role in leading crews, delivering safe and productive outcomes, and supporting the continued growth of our underground operations. • Previous experience in remnant underground mining will be held in high regard
