Job summary

Redpath Australia is seeking experienced Underground Service Crew Operators to join the Federation Mine team in New South Wales. This role focuses on installing and maintaining underground mine services, ventilation controls and related infrastructure on a long-term project.

You will operate ITs, telehandlers and other underground equipment, conduct safety checks and support development and production crews while upholding strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous underground mining experience in a Service Crew role.
• Experience installing and maintaining underground mine services.
• Experience operating ITs, telehandlers, EWP/scissor lifts or similar underground equipment.
• Strong understanding of underground mining operations and safety requirements.
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
• Ability to work effectively within a high-performing team environment.
• Relevant mining competencies, licences and tickets.
• Current Australian work rights.
• Ability to pass site medical and employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain underground mine services including air, water, ventilation and dewatering systems.
• Install poly pipe, steel pipe, valves, pumps and associated infrastructure.
• Construct and maintain ventilation controls including vent bags, brattices and bulkheads.
• Carry out concrete works, barricade construction and other underground construction activities.
• Operate ITs, telehandlers, scissor lifts and other underground support equipment.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks.
• Support development and production crews with service-related requirements.
• Identify and report hazards, incidents and equipment defects.
• Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain high housekeeping and operational standards underground.
