Job summary

Redpath Mining seeks a Project Engineer for the Federation Mine in New South Wales. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide technical and project support for underground development activities, coordinating with site leadership and operations to drive safety, productivity and compliance.

The role covers planning, scheduling, cost tracking, work packs and reports, coordinating labour and equipment, and liaising with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in underground hard rock mining or major projects.
• Understanding of underground mining methods and development activities.
• Knowledge of project controls, scheduling and cost management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proactive approach to safety and risk management.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and execution of underground development activities.
• Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets and cost tracking.
• Monitor project performance and productivity against targets.
• Develop work packs, project documentation and technical reports.
• Coordinate labour, equipment and material requirements.
• Ensure compliance with site safety systems and statutory obligations.
• Support daily, weekly and monthly planning processes.
• Liaise with clients, site personnel and subcontractors as required.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiencies; assist with forecasting, progress claims and contract administration.
