Job summary

Prime Mining, an Australian-based consultancy supplying the mining sector with high-calibre professionals, is seeking experienced Underground Mining Engineers for multiple East Coast FIFO roles. These positions offer 8/6 rosters with FIFO from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, and a strong remuneration package.

The Roles

We are looking for experienced Underground Mining Engineers for multiple roles, to assist our Tier 1 Clients in QLD, NSW, VIC and SA. The roles are 8/6 rosters, with FIFO from BNE, SYD, MEL, & ADL on offer.

Working with established technical services teams, you will assist with day to day support to enable smooth operations with regards to mine planning and execution support.

All travel time and costs, as well as accommodation will be covered, ensuring you are not out of pocket for any expenses, alongside Prime Mining's industry leading remuneration.

The roles on offer include:

• Mine production planning, including lateral/vertical development, stope notes and level plans and caving plans.

• Drill and blast design and planning, for production and development.

  Scheduling/forecasting to support the site planning team and execution process (Deswik Scheduler).

• Paste Backfill engineering and planning.

To be considered you must meet the following criteria:

• A tertiary qualification in Mining/Civil Engineering or a related field.

• Located in a major city near an airport.

• You have previous practical experience in underground mining in Australia and an established understanding of mining operations and processes/software.

• Current Australian drivers licence.

• Have exceptional and professional communication skills to engage and influence other personnel within the business.

• Have excellent time management and task prioritisation skills.

• Have an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
