Job summary

Peabody is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner for the Centurion Mine in Queensland. You will join the Engineering & Maintenance team, coordinating and planning maintenance across the underground operation to maximise equipment reliability and safety.

The role reports to the Manager Engineering & Maintenance and requires trade qualifications, mining experience, and strong planning and SAP skills. FIFO/relocation options and a 9-day fortnight roster are available.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified maintenance professional with mining experience.
• Experience in a Maintenance Planner or similar role within mining.
• Experience using SAP or similar maintenance management system.
• Ability to analyse equipment reliability and maintenance performance trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop, issue and maintain maintenance schedules for underground equipment and project activities.
• Coordinate maintenance requirements with production teams for efficient work execution.
• Convert asset management plans, inspections, defect reports and service findings into executable work orders.
• Manage maintenance backlogs, identify scheduling constraints and address potential risks.
• Monitor maintenance compliance and performance with weekly reporting and recommendations.
• Raise purchase orders for maintenance services and equipment components.
• Manage the work order lifecycle and ensure SAP data accuracy and close-out of completed work.
• Liaise with operational leaders, contractors and maintenance personnel to optimise resource allocation.
• Support equipment reliability initiatives and continuous improvement across the operation.
• Provide weekly maintenance schedules and supporting documentation to stakeholders.
