Job summary

South32 Group Operations Pty. Ltd. at the Cannington mine in northwest Queensland is hiring multiple permanent Jumbo Operator roles on a 7:7 roster. FIFO from Townsville, Brisbane and Cairns or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires. Clean-shaven policy applies during work hours.

You will safely operate jumbo equipment, install ground support, and follow mine plans; underground experience and a strong safety culture are essential.

Qualifications

• Solid experience working as a Jumbo Operator.
• Underground mining experience is essential.
• Commitment to a positive safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain jumbo equipment safely and efficiently
• Complete face boring and meshing activities
• Execute work as per mine plans and designs
• Install ground support to required standards and specifications
• Follow safe work practices and procedures
