Job summary

Westfill Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Underground HV Electrician. You will report to the Underground Electrical Supervisor and be responsible for electrical maintenance, testing, inspections, breakdowns, and installations within an underground operation, and work closely with operations and site management.

Essentials include a WA A-Grade Electrical License (essential) and a current WA High Voltage Switching Ticket (desirable), 1+ years underground mining experience, knowledge of

Qualifications

• Trade qualified with WA A-Grade Electrical License (essential).
• Current WA High Voltage Switching Ticket (desirable).
• Underground mining experience: 1+ years as an underground electrician.
• Strong knowledge of underground power distribution networks, substations, switchgear, and mobile equipment.
• Familiarity with WA Mining Legislation and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• HV distribution maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs in underground/subsidence environments.
• Fleet support: troubleshoot electrical faults on loaders, trucks, drill rigs, and pumping systems.
• Data & backlog management using Pronto to track downtime and report reliability.
• Lead safety culture: manage isolation, risk assessments, and electrical safety compliance.
• Mentor apprentices or trade assistants on site.
