Job summary

Job Q in Cairns, Queensland, is seeking an experienced Underground Grader Operator to maintain haul roads, declines, drainage and working areas in a modern underground mine. The role includes dust suppression support, equipment inspections and backup production tasks, on a rotating 8/6/7/7 roster with day and night shifts.

The position offers meals, accommodation and flights from Cairns, with DIDO opportunities for local Mt Isa/Cloncurry residents.

Qualifications

• Underground grader operating experience required.
• Experience operating Caterpillar 140M series graders or similar.
• Experience maintaining haul roads, road bases and drainage systems.
• Current RII Grader Competency is required.
• Current Manual Driver's Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain underground haul roads, declines, drainage and working areas for safe, efficient operations.
• Assist with dust suppression activities as required.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance checks.
• Support other underground production tasks as needed.
