Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU is seeking a qualified Electrician to work underground in a well-established Western Australian mining operation. You will support the availability and reliability of electrical systems and mining equipment in a hands-on maintenance environment.

The role offers permanent, full-time positions with 12-hour shifts on 7/7 or 2/2 rosters and residential opportunities from Perth to Kalgoorlie and FIFO. Experience in underground mining is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification
• Current A Grade WA Electrical Licence
• Minimum 3 years' industry experience
• Underground mining experience highly regarded
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on a 7/7 or 2/2 roster

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair underground electrical equipment
• Perform electrical fault finding and troubleshooting
• Complete planned preventative maintenance activities
• Diagnose electrical and control system faults
• Assist with commissioning and installation of electrical equipment
• Maintain underground electrical infrastructure and associated systems
• Ensure electrical equipment remains safe, compliant and operational
• Complete electrical testing and inspections
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime
• Work with maintenance team to identify and resolve recurring faults
• Apply electrical isolation and safe work procedures
• Keep maintenance documentation and records up to date
• Support the safe and efficient operation of modern underground mining equipment
