Norton Gold Fields Pty Ltd in Kalgoorlie-Boulder is seeking an experienced Underground Electrical Superintendent to lead the underground electrical, instrumentation and control systems, ensuring reliable power and safe operations.

This senior role drives safety, performance and continuous improvement, delivering project upgrades and overseeing shutdowns, with a focus on statutory compliance and effective leadership of site electrical teams.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Certificate or Engineering qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in underground mining
• Current Statutory Supervisor qualification (essential)

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage underground electrical, instrumentation and control systems
• Ensure reliable power supply to support production and minimise downtime
• Oversee electrical installations, upgrades and infrastructure projects
• Plan and execute shutdown strategies and maintenance schedules
• Provide leadership and direction to site electrical teams
• Ensure compliance with WA mining legislation and site standards
• Carry out duties as a Statutory Supervisor / Electrical Nominee
• Work closely with production and technical teams to deliver operational outcomes
• Support new projects and expansion activities across site

About The Role

Norton Gold Fields is seeking an experienced Underground Electrical Superintendent to support our Tuart underground operations.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for the safe and efficient operation of underground power systems, ensuring reliability across current operations while supporting new site developments and electrical upgrades.

You will play a key role in driving safety, operational performance and continuous improvement across the electrical function.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage underground electrical, instrumentation and control systems
• Ensure reliable power supply to support production and minimise downtime
• Oversee electrical installations, upgrades and infrastructure projects
• Plan and execute shutdown strategies and maintenance schedules
• Provide leadership and direction to site electrical teams
• Ensure compliance with WA mining legislation and site standards
• Carry out duties as a Statutory Supervisor / Electrical Nominee
• Work closely with production and technical teams to deliver operational outcomes
• Support new projects and expansion activities across site

About You

• Electrical Trade Certificate or Engineering qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in underground mining
• Proven leadership experience supervising electrical teams
• Strong understanding of underground power systems and maintenance
• Current Statutory Supervisor qualification (essential)
• Ability to build relationships and influence across teams
• Strong planning, problem-solving and communication skills
