Job summary

Swick Mining Services is seeking an Underground Diamond Drillers Offsider in South Australia to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. This entry-level role targets candidates with recent physical labouring experience and SA residency, with FIFO options from Adelaide on rosters varying by site.

You will be supported with on-the-job training, licence progress toward drilling certificates within the first month, and an incentive bonus on successful probation.

Qualifications

• Recent physical labouring experience
• Proof of Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
• Current Manual (C Class) Drivers License
• National Police Clearance (within 6 months, applicants with disclosable convictions will not be excluded from consideration, however some limitations will apply)
• First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Be able to pass a medical composed of a stringent physical and a drug and alcohol screen

Job description

Swick Mining Services is one of the world’s largest mineral drilling contractors, specialising in underground diamond coring for the hard rock mining industry.

As an Underground Diamond Drillers Offsider, you are required to have a strong work ethic, be physically fit, hardworking and reliable.

To fill our current vacancies, we are seeking candidates who reside in South Australia & have recent physical labouring experience to join our team in this entry level position.

Candidates can only be considered for positions within the state that they reside.

South Australian applicants will be considered for future vacancies arising at the following sites:

• Broken Hill - Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) ex Adelaide, roster 1:1 (1 week on, 1 week off)
• Olympic Dam – Fly in Fly Out (FIFO) ex Adelaide, roster 2:1 (2 weeks on, 1 week off)

To be considered for this role, you MUST have:

• Recent physical & manual labouring experience
• Proof of Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
• Current Manual (C Class) Drivers License
