Job summary

Gold Fields is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to join the underground dewatering team at Granny Smith. Reporting to the Electrical Leading Hand, you will install, inspect and repair dewatering infrastructure, including diesel and electric pumps, while upholding safety standards.

This role operates on an 8 days on / 6 days off, 7 nights on / 7 days off roster and offers FIFO from Perth or drive-in/drive-out from the Goldfields region.

Qualifications

• Fixed Plant Maintenance experience, ideally underground.
• WA Manual Driver's Licence required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP is advantageous.
• Knowledge of statutory obligations relevant to mining.
• HR licence and tickets (Crane, Dogging, EWP, Forklift) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical repairs, servicing or modifications to equipment to maximise machine availability and efficiency.
• Carry out preventative maintenance of underground dewatering system.
• Fault-finding, diagnosis and repair of pumps and dewatering infrastructure.
• Maintain ancillary equipment.
• Review maintenance processes; propose modern technology where appropriate.
• Prioritise resources and coordinate all unplanned work during the week.
