Job summary

Protech is seeking an experienced Production Charge Up Operator for a 2/2 FIFO roster, with work sites in remote regions of Australia. The role involves operating charge-up machines, charging development faces with explosives, and ensuring safe storage and transport of materials.

Ideal candidates will have 1+ year in underground charge-up roles, familiarity with emulsion (desirable), and a demonstrated ability to comply with OHS standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in an underground production charge up role.
• Experience with Emulsion (Desirable).
• Proficiency in Integrated Tool Carrier.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate charge-up machines with efficiency according to plans.
• Charge development faces with explosives following procedures.
• Store and transport explosives safely and correctly.
• Apply ground support techniques with a solid understanding.
• Operate an Integrated Tool Carrier and perform pre-starts on equipment.

Protech are looking for experiencedProductionCharge Up Operatorsto perform work with our client, located in Tanami Desert on a 2/2 FIFO basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Pay Rate: $70.65 Casual Flat Rate + Super on ALL HOURS
• Tues – Tues Roster
• 2/2 Roster: Week of Days, Week of Nights
• Immediate start
• Point of Hire: Darwin, Alice Springs, Perth or Brisbane

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating charge-up machines with efficiency
• Follow plans accurately to charge development faces with explosives
• Correct storage and transportation of explosives
• A solid understanding of ground support techniques
• Operation of an Integrated Tool Carrier
• Conduct Pre starts on equipment and workplace inspections

TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 1+ years’experience in an underground production charge up role
• Experience with Emulsion (Desirable)
• Proficiency in Integrated tool carrier
• Ability to maintain fitness for work, pass a pre-employment medical & drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 3 months)
• Valid & contactable references
• Strong understanding and adherence to OHS
