Job summary

NQM Gold 2 Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Underground Boilermaker to join the Pajingo Gold Mine's underground maintenance team in North Queensland. Reporting to the Leading Hand, you will fabricate, repair and install underground plant and equipment, performing scheduled maintenance and documentation.

The role operates on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster, with opportunities to work with a skilled team and contribute to safety and operational excellence in a long-standing underground operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in fixed and mobile plant fabrication and repairs within a mining environment.
• Commitment to safe working practices.
• Ability to prioritise and schedule work effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels.
• Team-focused attitude and willingness to support other trades.
• Ability to follow procedures while adapting to changing operational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating and repairing underground fixed and mobile plant and ancillary equipment
• Completing scheduled maintenance, repairs and installations
• Completing assigned work and associated maintenance documentation
• Assisting other trades as required
• Working closely with supervisors, planners and the wider underground maintenance team
• Identifying opportunities to improve safety, work practices and procedures
• Participating in root cause analysis activities
• Maintaining clear and effective communication across teams and departments
• Ensuring all work complies with site safety, environmental and operating requirements
