Undergraduate Assistant in Nursing – Casual Pool – The Sutherland Hospital

Location: The Sutherland Hospital, Caringbah. Remuneration: $26.15 - $28.69 Per hour, plus superannuation. Hours Per Week: As required. Employment Type: Casual. Position Classification: Assistant In Nursing. Requisition ID: REQ610653. Applications Close Date: Sunday, 12 October 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Provision of support to the nursing team in the delivery of nursing care in an acute care environment as directed by the Registered Nurse
  • Provide direct care activities to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Assist Registered and Enrolled Nurses with patient care interventions as directed
  • Contribute to collecting accurate health care information and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required
  • Communicate effectively with patients and other health care team members in accordance with appropriate protocol
Qualifications
  • Evidence of current enrolment in 2nd or 3rd year of undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing Degree
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Proven ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills
