Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a UI Engineer to build and support frontend solutions across our home loan originations platform, translating design into production. You will work closely with product, design, engineering and business teams to deliver high-quality customer experiences and improve platform performance.

You will also mentor colleagues, contribute to design systems, and apply accessibility and AI-assisted engineering practices to raise delivery quality.

Our Home Loan Originations team builds the digital channels that customers and brokers use to apply for a home loan, provide information, track progress and connect with our team. We work closely with customers, brokers and business partners to create simple, secure and accessible experiences that improve the home loan application journey.

As a UI Engineer, you will build and support frontend solutions across our home loan originations platform, taking ideas from design through to production. You will work closely with product, design, engineering and business teams to deliver high-quality customer experiences, improve platform performance and reliability, and support the team through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

What you offer

• Strong experience building complex, data-rich user journeys, including multi-step applications, dynamic workflows and application tracking experiences.
• Expertise in TypeScript and modern Angular or similar frontend frameworks, with experience applying contemporary frontend development patterns.
• Experience working closely with product, design and backend engineering teams to shape solutions, define application interfaces and deliver customer-focused outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of automated testing, continuous delivery practices, production support, performance optimisation and monitoring in frontend applications.
• Experience building and contributing to design systems, mentoring engineers, applying accessibility standards and using AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and delivery.
