Job summary

Lockheed Martin Australia is seeking a highly motivated maintenance engineer to ensure aircraft airworthiness and provide tactical level task coordination in support of UH-60M Black Hawk program activities.

You will coordinate maintenance tasks, supervise teams, and assist Maintenance Managers in execution while complying with aviation standards and security requirements.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Aeroskills – Mechanical (Cert IV or above) from a recognised institution.
  • Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence (MAML) for applicable type.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Defence Security Clearance.
  • Knowledge of DASRs (Defence Aviation Safety Regulations) is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure aircraft are airworthy in accordance with aviation standards.
  • Coordinate maintenance tasks and supervise GAT personnel.
  • Support Maintenance Managers in execution of maintenance duties.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Platform specific safety familiarisation course (or equivalent)
  • Competence assessment on the task being authorised
  • System or component specific courses for component level maintenance
  • An understanding of Plan, Brief, Execute, Debrief (PBED) principles
  • Demonstrated understanding of WH&S requirements
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the effects of Human Factors in Maintenance.
  • Tertiary qualifications (Certificate IV or above) in a relevant discipline Aeroskills – Mechanical, from a recognised institution
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the requirements of DASRs
  • Ability to work rotating roster
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Defence Security Clearance (visit AGSVA website for more information about Security Clearances)
  • Tertiary qualifications – Certificate IV or above in Aeroskills – Mechanical from a recognised institution
  • Military Aircraft Maintenance License (MAML) on applicable type
About you:

You will be responsible for ensuring aircraft are airworthy in accordance with prescribed aviation standards. Responsible for directly supporting Maintenance Managers in the execution of maintenance and aviation related duties by providing holistic tactical level task co-ordination, personnel management, and supervision for a group of maintenance tasks or GAT and/or personnel.
We are seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused engineer. You will undertake maintenance and certification within scope of authorisation.
