Job summary

Engineering Trades Australia is seeking an experienced Underground Trade Assistant for an immediate start at Beta Hunt. You will support the underground maintenance team and assist tradespeople with day-to-day activities in a hands-on role.

This role offers an 8:6 / 7:7 roster, day and night shifts, and a strong safety focus in a busy underground mining environment. Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Underground Trade Assistant.
• Heights – ticket valid within last 2 years.
• Confined Space – ticket valid within last 2 years.
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to work effectively within an underground maintenance team.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable and proactive attitude.
• Ability to undertake physically demanding work.
• Availability to work the 8:6 / 7:7 roster.
• Able to work both day and night shifts.
• Availability to commence immediately.

• Working safely around mobile equipment, tradespeople and other personnel.
• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and safety.

We are currently seeking an experienced Underground Trade Assistant for an immediate start at Beta Hunt, supporting the site maintenance team. Offering $45.00/hr on day shift and $51.75/hr on night shift, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Underground TA looking to join a busy maintenance team on an 8:6 / 7:7 roster.

The Role

As an Underground Trade Assistant, you'll work closely with the maintenance team, providing hands‑on assistance to tradespeople and supporting day‑to‑day underground maintenance activities.

Your duties may include:
