Job summary

Yancoal Australia is seeking an experienced electrical tradesman to supervise electrical plant and installations at the Moolarben Coal Mine near Mudgee. The role requires underground coal mining experience, with longwall exposure preferred, and WHS regulatory qualifications.

You will lead a multi-skilled team, promote a positive safety culture, and contribute to continuous improvement through strong planning and problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Underground Coal Mining experience - preferably previous Longwall experience.
• Have the appropriate qualifications under the Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Regulation 2022 as a qualified electrical tradesman.
• A professional work ethic and the ability to strive for continuous improvement.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Experience with promoting a positive safety culture within the mine.
• Sound planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• EEHA Training.
• High Voltage Training.
