Job summary

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join its client’s specialist UASC Team in Liverpool. You will manage a varied caseload of Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children, complete statutory assessments, and support young people through their care journey.

The role involves safeguarding, developing care plans, and collaborating with partner agencies to promote welfare. Hybrid working options, training, and long-term contracts are available.

Qualifications

• Social Work England registration is required.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Hold a full UK driving license.
• Post-qualified experience required.
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children within a specialist service.
• Complete UASC and Age Assessments in line with statutory guidance and local procedures.
• Undertake statutory social work responsibilities for Looked After Children / Children in Care.
• Develop, implement, and review outcome-focused care plans to support the safety, wellbeing, and development of young people.
• Build effective relationships with children and young people, ensuring their voice is central to all assessments, planning, and interventions.
• Complete assessments, reports, and documentation to a high professional standard.
• Attend and contribute to Looked After Children reviews, pathway planning meetings, strategy meetings, and multi-agency meetings.
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies including education, health services, legal representatives, and immigration services.
• Support young people with their transition to independence, including preparation for adulthood and developing life skills.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements, local policies, and professional standards.
• Assess and manage risk effectively, making informed decisions to safeguard vulnerable young people.
• Promote strengths-based practice and support positive outcomes for children and young people.
