Job summary

Techforce Personnel is seeking experienced OTR Tyre Fitters for mining open-cut operations across Queensland. You will work on haul trucks, loaders, dozers and graders, fitting, removing, rotating and repairing tyres with tyre handlers trained for field and workshop use.

Relevant Cert II or Cert III in Tyre Fitting and mine-site experience are essential; HR/MC licences are valued, and Coal Board Medical qualifications are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Certification to work on OTR tyres (Cert II or Cert III or equivalent).
• Mine site experience with mining fleet equipment.
• Tyre handler experience.
• Current HR or MC licence preferred.
• Coal tickets (Standard 11, Coal Board Medical) highly regarded.
• Able to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screen.

• Operate tyre handlers safely in the field and in the workshop


• Carry out tyre inspections, pressure checks and condition reporting


• Inspect and assemble multi-piece rims to site and manufacturer standards


• Work to site safety systems and complete all required documentation

What you’ll need

• Relevant certification to work on OTR tyres (Cert II or Cert III in Tyre Fitting or equivalent)


• Previous mine site experience working on mining fleet equipment


• Tyre handler experience


• Current driver’s licence (HR or MC highly regarded)


• Coal tickets (Standard 11, Coal Board Medical) highly regarded


• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
