Job summary

ConsMin in Western Australia’s Pilbara region is seeking a qualified Tyre Fitter to join the Mobile Maintenance team at Woodie Woodie. You will remove, fit and repair tyres across our mining fleet, conduct inspections, and maintain tyre records using JPS and maintenance systems.

Qualifications

• Certificate II in Heavy Tyre Fitting.
• Mining experience on heavy earthmoving equipment.
• Tyre management experience.
• Product knowledge of Caterpillar and Komatsu equipment.
• Current HR Driver's Licence.
• High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (LF).
• Intermediate computer skills, including TredStat/Entire and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to following health, safety and environmental procedures.

Responsibilities

• Remove, fit and repair tyres across our mining fleet consisting predominantly of Caterpillar and Komatsu equipment.
• Carry out tyre fitting on graders, dozers, loaders, dump trucks, water carts, skid steers and other ancillary equipment.
• Remove and replace tyres on light vehicles, buses, cranes and service vehicles.
• Diagnose tyre damage and abnormal wear patterns.
• Complete tyre, wheel and rim inspections.
• Conduct scheduled tyre pressure and tread depth inspections.
• Maintain accurate tyre management records and inventory information.
• Utilise Job Planning Sheets (JPS) and company maintenance systems.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and safe work practices.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of the Mobile Maintenance team.

ConsMinproduces some of the world's highest grade manganese ore and is considered a world leader in manganese mining. OurConsMinAustralian operation (Woodie Woodie) is based in the WA Pilbara, 407km south-east of Port Hedland. Enjoy a short two hour flight direct to our well equipped camp and mining operation – only a five minute drive from Woodie Airport.

About the Role:
