Job summary

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) is offering a two-year, full-time Work Health and Safety Trainee position in NSW, commencing November 2026. You will undertake a structured traineeship and work towards a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety while gaining practical experience in Fleet Management.

The role involves supporting routine administrative and operational activities, rotating through FRNSW locations as required, and developing foundational WHS knowledge for a lifelong career in safety.

Qualifications

• Have completed Year 12 or an equivalent qualification.
• Be willing to undertake structured training and work full time for the duration of the traineeship.
• Commit to completing a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
• Willing to rotate through FRNSW work locations when required.
• Demonstrate good communication and digital literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured traineeship to develop practical WHS knowledge.
• Support routine administrative and operational activities within Fleet Management.
• Work towards nationally recognised qualification while gaining on-the-job experience.
