Job summary

Qube is seeking a HC/MC driver based out of Horsham or Melbourne to service Melbourne ports. You will operate prime movers, complete documentation, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires a current HC Licence, excellent driving history, and flexibility for weekend work.

Candidates should be physically fit, hold a MISC card, and be capable of using PDA devices and tablets for job-related tasks. Pre-employment checks apply, with travel to multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Reliable and flexible with work schedules; some weekend work required.

Responsibilities

• Operate prime movers and other vehicles from wharf/yard to depots and customers.
• Complete all required documentation.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment in good condition.
• Comply with safety, fatigue, and heavy vehicle guidelines and axle weight/permits.
• Use handheld PDA units and tablets; operate systems as provided.
• Be reliable and flexible with work arrangements.

Due to continued growth we are looking to employ a HC/MC driver based out of our Horsham or Melbourne depo to run to ports in Melbourne

Specific Responsibilities

• Efficient operation of prime movers and other vehicles and equipment from wharves/yard to depots, third party premises and various Qube Logistics customers
• Complete all necessary associated documentation
• Take good care of vehicles / plant under your care
• Ensure compliance with all safety, fatigue, heavy vehicle operating guide lines, loading requirements, axle weights, adhering to vehicle specific permits
• Operate hand held PDA units, tablet devise and any other systems as requires & provided
• Be reliable and flexible with work arrangements.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for applicants with the following:

• A current HC Licence
• Excellent Driving Record
• BFM Accreditation
• Physically Fit
• Be reliable and flexible with work arrangements, some week end work will be required
• MISC Card

It would also benefit your application if you have all or any of the following:

• Previous Wharf experience
• A Double combination experience
• Experienced in the current Road Networks of Melbourne
• Current high risk Fork Licence

Any future employee will need to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen and a federal police clearance.
