POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Are you looking for a full-time job with regular family-friendly hours, as a professional, well-paid Truck Driver? The Treloar Group is looking for a motivated, reliable driver to join our team and assist with quarrying operations and construction projects across the North West. Our new driver will have a safety-first, pro-active approach to defensive driving within the road rules.

The role requires the operation of a Heavy Combination Vehicle. Experience with truck and dog trailer combination and non-synchromesh gearbox is desirable, however, on-the-job training would also be available for the right person. This wonderful opportunity includes a variety of work and experiences every day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Competent and safe operation of truck(s) and associated machinery, including compliance with safe work systems and road laws.
  • Maintain truck/machinery as required – including washing, cleaning, greasing and checking stress points.
  • Serve as a Treloar Group advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
  • Plan your driving routes to ensure the safe delivery of your load every time.
  • Perform mathematical calculations to determine weight/m cubed and volume.
  • Use a computer/tablet as required for daily truck log, dockets and fleet management.
  • Follow accident/incident protocols including reporting procedures.

POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid relevant heavy vehicle (HC) driver’s licence or the ability to acquire one.
  • Construction Induction (white) card or the ability to acquire one.
  • Two or more years experience driving Heavy Combination or similar vehicles and a good driving record.
  • Demonstrable commitment to work health and safety practices.
  • Computer literacy to the required level.
  • Ability to work with our truck driving team to achieve business imperatives.
  • Ability to work to a high standard when unsupervised.
  • Ability to think independently, and devise safe methods to achieve goals.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT MEDICAL:

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical inclusive of drug and alcohol screening.
