About the opportunity
Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic blue trucks to deliver for customers? As our MR Truck Driver at our friendly Townsville based StarTrack Facility, you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out.

This is a rare full time permanent opportunity at our Townsville facility based in Mount St John. Working Monday to Friday, the weekends are all yours! Your rate will be $33.81/hr + 12% super + OT rates. Generally there is availability of around 1-2 hours of overtime each day.

You’ll be

• Completing your own daily vehicle safety check.
• Freight Handling in a team environment
• Safely scanning and loading your truck with freight for your deliveries with teammates at the facility.
• Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups.
• Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups.

About you

You’re a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable personality who loves autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.

You’ll also need to

• Hold an unrestricted MR license.
• Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights, frequently in and out of a truck (anywhere up to 30kg in weight).
• Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility.
• Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills.
• Meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less.
• Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and nationally coordinated criminal history checks.
