AWS Aussie Weighbridge Systems Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our team in Smeaton Grange, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of our products and services to customers across the region. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating heavy vehicles, maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations, and representing our company with professionalism and reliability on the road.

What you'll be doing

• Operating and maintaining heavy trucks in accordance with all relevant road and safety regulations
• Planning and executing efficient delivery routes to meet customer deadlines and maximise productivity
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and report any defects or maintenance issues
• Loading, securing and unloading equipment safely and correctly using appropriate equipment and techniques
• Maintaining accurate logbooks, delivery documentation and records as required by law and company policy
• Communicating effectively with dispatch, customers and management regarding deliveries, delays and any issues that arise
• Adhering strictly to speed limits, driving hours regulations and all traffic laws to ensure road safety
• Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanour when representing AWS Aussie Weighbridge Systems

What we're looking for

• Current Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence, as required for the role
• Proven experience operating heavy vehicles in a commercial or industrial setting
• Valid National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
• Demonstrated commitment to road safety and a clean driving record
• Knowledge of load securing requirements and heavy vehicle regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks safely
• Experience with digital logbooks and vehicle tracking systems is advantageous
• Forklift certification or other relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
