Job description

Freight Movement is seeking an experienced and professional Tilt Tray Driver to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Riverstone, NSW 2765, you will be responsible for operating a tilt tray truck to transport and deliver vehicles and cargo safely and efficiently across the region. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring that our clients' assets are handled with care and delivered on time. You will work independently and as part of our logistics team, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety.

What you'll be doing

Operating a tilt tray truck to safely transport vehicles and cargo to designated locations

Loading and unloading vehicles and freight using the tilt tray mechanism, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution

Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe working condition

Planning efficient routes and managing delivery schedules to meet customer expectations and company targets

Maintaining accurate documentation, including delivery dockets, logbooks and vehicle maintenance records

Communicating effectively with dispatch, customers and team members regarding delivery updates and any issues

Adhering to all traffic laws, company policies and safety procedures to ensure safe operations

Responding professionally to customer enquiries and complaints whilst on the job

Performing routine vehicle maintenance and reporting any mechanical issues to management

What we’re looking for

Current and valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's license with a clean driving record

Minimum of 2-3 years' experience operating tilt tray trucks in a commercial transport environment

Strong understanding of vehicle loading regulations, weight distribution and securing procedures

Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently

Proficiency in using dispatch systems and basic digital platforms for documentation and communication

Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks such as loading, unloading and securing cargo

A commitment to safety practices and a strong focus on accident prevention

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and manage your own route whilst supporting the broader team

Experience with vehicle transport or heavy haulage is highly valued
