Job summary

Mal’s Haulage in Ipswich, QLD seeks an experienced MC Truck Driver for local and interstate work. Join our family-owned team handling machinery, buildings and oversized freight with a focus on safety, reliability and efficient operations.

You’ll operate MC combinations, ensure loads are secured and paperwork is completed on time while contributing to a varied schedule and ongoing fleet maintenance. Immediate start possible for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current MC driver’s licence.
• Road Ranger experience; confident driving a manual.
• Experience operating heavy vehicles.
• Sound understanding of load restraint and fatigue management.
• Good driving record; reliable and punctual.
• Able to work independently with common sense.

Responsibilities

• Drive MC combinations, including B-doubles.
• Transport machinery, buildings and specialised freight.
• Local, regional and interstate deliveries.
• Secure and restrain loads safely.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and required paperwork.
• Look after truck and equipment.
• Collaborate with a team familiar with transport operations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Driving MC combinations, including B-doubles
• Transporting machinery, buildings and specialised freight
• Local, regional and interstate deliveries
• Securing and restraining loads safely
• Completing daily vehicle checks and required paperwork
• Looking after your truck and equipment
• Working alongside a team that knows the transport industry

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The non-negotiables:

• Current MC driver's licence
• Road Ranger experience — you must be confident driving a manual
• Experience operating heavy vehicles
• Sound understanding of load restraint and fatigue management
• Good driving record
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
• A bit of common sense and a willingness to get the job done!

Bonus points if you have:

• Oversize and overmass transport experience
• Experience with floats, drop decks or extendable trailers
• Machinery loading and unloading experience
• Knowledge of Queensland and interstate transport routes

Don't have experience in every type of load we carry? That's okay. If you're a capable driver with the right attitude, we're happy to show you the ropes.
