TRUCK DRIVER (NON-CDL LICENSE) – FULL TIME, TEMPORARY (Melville)

Island Harvest is looking for an experienced Non-CDL License Truck Driver to join our team. Responsibilities include driving a 24-foot box truck, route and trip planning, freight loading and unloading and assisting with food distribution and volunteer activities. Ideal candidate must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and have a strong grasp of time management. MUST have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, 3+ years’ experience driving a 24-foot box truck and prior experience dealing with, and helping, diverse populations. Experience with food distribution programs and social services agencies is preferred. A forklift/electric pallet certification is a plus.

This is a temporary full-time position which could lead to permanent employment.
