Job summary

Australia Post is seeking a part-time MR Truck Driver based in Wingfield to support our StarTrack operations. You will drive blue trucks on a 20-hour work week, Mon-Fri 3pm-7pm, with pay at $34.33 per hour plus 13% super, a 17.5% shift penalty and OT rate where applicable.

You’ll conduct daily vehicle safety checks, transport freight between the Wingfield facility and customers, and assist with unloading freight alongside teammates in a collaborative, safety‑minded environment.

Qualifications

• Hold an unrestricted MR licence.
• Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all shapes, sizes and weights.
• Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility.
• Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills.
• Meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less.
• Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a driving assessment, pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national criminal history checks.

About the opportunity

Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic blue trucks to deliver for customers? As our part time unrestricted MR Truck Driver, you’ll be the face of our trusted StarTrack business based in Wingfield, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You might not be working from home, but you’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!

This is a permanent part time opportunity working Mon-Fri 3pm-7pm 20 hours per week paying $34.33/ph + 13% super, 17.5% penalty on top and OT rates.

You’ll be

• Completing your own daily vehicle safety check.
• Driving our trucks between our Wingfield Facility and customers, mostly for pick-ups.
• Returning to our operational facility to safely unload your truck with freight with teammates at the facility..

You’ll also need to
