RACV Ballarat is seeking a skilled Travel Sales Consultant to craft personalised itineraries and manage end-to-end bookings for domestic and international travel. You will use your knowledge of destinations and Amadeus GDS to deliver memorable experiences for customers.

Based in Ballarat, you’ll join a supportive team and contribute to sales targets. The role offers permanent full-time and part-time opportunities, with generous RACV benefits and a commitment to training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Certificate 3 in Travel or higher, preferred.
• GDS experience in Amadeus, Sabre preferred.
• Passion for travel industry and personal travel experience.
• Excellent organisational, attention to detail & problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage workflow, set goals, meet sales targets & work productively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Induction training Monday-Friday for the first 2-3 weeks in CBD Melbourne head office & store; public transport travel costs covered.

Responsibilities

• Promote holiday packages, flights, hotels, cruises, tours, experiences & travel insurance
• Build relationships with customers face to face and online, managing new enquiries, quotes, itineraries, amendments and cancellations
• Facilitate domestic & international travel bookings and payments between travellers & suppliers, using Amadeus GDS
• Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, cross selling & up selling of travel products
• Manage travel credits, refunds and changes
• Attend sales meetings and achieve targets & KPIs
• Attend industry events ie. supplier & product events, ship inspections & travel expos
