Job summary

LGI Ltd in Brisbane is seeking hands-on Construction Labourers and Machine Operators for full-time permanent roles on our infrastructure team. The Brisbane-based position involves regular travel to regional QLD, NSW and ACT for two weeks at a time.

A current driver's licence and your own vehicle are essential, and LGI provides pool vehicles, accommodation and meal allowances when traveling. You'll operate mobile plant equipment, perform general labouring, weld and install poly pipelines, and

Qualifications

• Construction Induction Card – mandatory
• Proven experience as a skilled labourer and machine operator (construction or landfill industry preferred)
• Ability to pass respirator fit-testing
• Reliable transport and current driver’s licence
• Physically fit – able to lift up to 20kg and work in all weather conditions
• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
• A team player who can also work independently
• Willingness to undertake pre‑employment and random drug & alcohol testing

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery: Safely manoeuvre mobile plant equipment (including excavators, skid steers, drill rigs) to build our clean energy infrastructure.
• Roll up your sleeves: Regularly step out of the cab and jump into general labouring tasks, site prep, and material handling.
• Build landfill gas infrastructure: Weld and installpoly pipelines.
• Champion safety and operational excellence: Maintain a safe work environment across all our landfill and construction sites, leading by example.
