Job summary

Blue Dot Travel in Sydney is seeking a Travel Consultant on a part-time basis (approx 20 hours per week). The role offers hybrid work options and a 6-month contract with potential extension.

You will support group tour bookings, plan flights with Amadeus, manage hotels and transfers, and handle invoicing and customer communication.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years Amadeus GDS experience and at least 5 years in travel, with a background in tour operators or private groups being a plus.

• Experience with tour operators or private groups is a plus.

Travel Consultant – Independent Tour Operator, Sydney.

Part-time, approx 20 hours per week

Pro-rated Part-time Salary (20 hrs/week): $37,000 - $40,000

6-month contract with the possibility of extension.

If you are a motivated, experienced travel specialist, we would like to speak with you! This role offers flexibility in hours and a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting the team across all elements of group tour bookings
• Flight planning, booking and ticketing using Amadeus
• Managing services such as hotels, stopovers and airport transfers
• Invoicing and collecting payments for travel services
• Ongoing communication with customers
• Preparing and sending travel documentation

About you

• At least 3 years of GDS (Amadeus) experience
• At least 5 years of experience in the travel industry

Previous experience within a tour operator, or with private groups highly advantageous

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems
• Passionate about travel, with a good knowledge of "lesser travelled" destinations
• A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
• Ability to be proactive and self-manage systems and tasks
