Job summary

Central Adelaide Local Health Network invites applications for a Trauma Service Registrar based in Adelaide CBD. You will join a dedicated trauma team, manage Level 1 and 2 trauma cases, maintain trauma documentation, and support education through audits and teaching sessions.

The role requires MBBS or equivalent, registration with the Medical Board of Australia, and BLS certification, with trauma experience at a Senior RMO or Registrar level.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia.
• BLS certification required.
• Trauma experience at Senior RMO/Registrar level.

Responsibilities

• Attend Level 1 and 2 trauma call-outs and manage patient care.
• Document trauma data for the National Trauma Registry.
• Perform primary, secondary and tertiary trauma surveys.
• Provide tube thoracostomies, fracture splinting and wound washouts.
• Present Level 1 trauma cases at weekly audits and participate in teaching sessions.
• Receive supervision from ED Consultant, Trauma Fellow and Trauma Surgical Consultants.
