Job summary

Carpentaria is a not-for-profit organisation delivering disability and therapy services and related supports in Australia. The role supports young people aged 12–18 with trauma-informed care and emotional wellbeing within a multidisciplinary team, enabling resilience, independence and connections with family and community.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or ability to obtain.
• Experience in residential care, youth services or Out of Home Care programs.
• Knowledge of child protection legislation and trauma-informed care.
• Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, therapeutic and trauma-informed support to young people aged 12–18 years.
• Promote emotional wellbeing, stability and development while building trust.
• Work within a multidisciplinary care team to support resilience and life skills.
