Job summary

Carpentaria is a not-for-profit providing Disability and Therapy Services for children and young people in Darwin. The Therapeutic Specialist delivers evidence-based, trauma-informed care within a multidisciplinary team, guiding therapeutic interventions across residential services.

The ideal candidate holds an allied health qualification and registration with the relevant board, with experience in OOHC, trauma, and attachment theory.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification and current professional registration with the appropriate board.
• Experience with children and young people in OOHC or trauma settings.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and attachment theory.
• Experience in assessment, planning and behaviour support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based, trauma-informed therapeutic care to children and young people.
• Lead clinical interventions within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure therapeutic principles are applied consistently across residential services.
