Job summary

Knowmore is seeking Social workers, counsellors or psychologists for a 12‑month fixed-term contract in Adelaide. You will provide trauma-informed support and therapeutic interventions to survivors navigating sensitive legal issues, including work across correctional centres.

The role requires a tertiary qualification and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with a strong commitment to culturally safe, trauma-informed service delivery and collaboration within diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Must hold a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or Counselling.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in trauma-informed, multidisciplinary services and teams.
• Experience delivering culturally safe services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and to culturally diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide short to medium-term trauma-informed support and therapeutic interventions via telephone and face-to-face sessions, including work with clients in correctional settings across Australia.
• Provide discipline-specific consultation to colleagues to support client wellbeing.
• Accurately document client activity and administrative information in a timely manner.
• Provide informal debriefing and wellbeing support to staff within a trauma-informed framework.
• Participate in internal meetings at team and organisation levels.
• Monitor and support personal wellbeing and engage with leadership on resilience.
